Fireflies Project

About

Fireflies Project aims to expand the influence, accessibility, and presence of regional art in the broader global community, considering it to be a fascinating source of inspiration, enjoyment, and thought-provoking experiences. We rethink traditional art structures by maintaining a flexible and dynamic presence.

In a fast-changing art world and in the face of the manifold physical and financial boundaries contended with by artists in areas other than world centers, we believe mobility, creativity, and forward thinking are essential in developing innovative, groundbreaking projects and forming alliances with suitable collaborators.

Fireflies Project works with the most influential, cutting-edge artists based in Israel, both mid-career and emerging. Working in a variety of mediums, techniques and artistic approaches, they all share a fascinating ability to create remarkable installations, original environments, and invented worlds that produce unique experiences transcending a particular time and space.

We facilitate international artistic development for our artists by offering a bespoke working plan to suit their development, ambitions, projects, and initiatives, providing them with new opportunities that include unprecedented international exposure.

Fireflies Project services also offers art consulting to private and corporate collections, as well as a full set of art handling and logistics services based on twenty years of experience in the contemporary art field.

With over twenty years of experience in the art world, a BA in Art History from Tel Aviv University and a Master’s in Art Management from New York University with internships at MoMA and Guggenheim Museum in New York, Vered Gadish established the Tel Aviv-based Fireflies Project art-management agency in 2018. Having worked closely with contemporary Israeli artists over the past twenty years in various capacities, the Fireflies venture is a natural extension of her previous work. Gadish has supported and facilitated, promoted, produced, curated, and installed art in a great number of frameworks and venues. Consequently, she is well versed in the field’s inner workings and eminently equipped to offer professional guidance and assistance to artists in developing their international profile. Gadish's extensive experience includes curating the Doron Sebbag ORS Art Collection Ltd; art consulting to the international art fund Art Partners LP; co-founding and directing the philanthropic organization Outset Contemporary Art Fund, Israel; consulting to private and corporate clients; developing projects for the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art; and more. Gadish and her husband are raising two little boys and two big dogs.
